WITH LOVE FROM A LONELY DOG

I wish someone would tell me what it is that I've done wrong.  Why do I have to stay chained up and be left alone so long? They seemed so glad to have me, when I came here as a pup.  There were so many things we'd do, when I was growing up.

The master said he'd train me as a companion and a friend.  The mistress said she'd never fear to be alone again.  The children said they'd feed me and brush me everyday.  They'd play with me and walk with me, if I would only stay.  But now the master, "hasn't time".  The mistress says, "I shed", she doesn't want me in the house, not even to be fed.  The children never walk me they always say, "not now".

I wish that I could please them, won't someone tell me how?  All I had, you see, was love.  I wish they would explain to me why, they said they wanted mine, then left it on A CHAIN. Author unknown.

**Nationwide 15 million unwanted dogs and cats are put to sleep each year.  Most of these deaths are NOT a result of anything the animals have done wrong.  source - Humane Society - volunteer handbook

Out of that 15 million, 9.6 million of these yearly deaths are in the United States. source- study from the National Council on Pet Population.

ABOUT ME:

My name is Julie Buccieri, my nickname for  over 20 years has been PET. I have always loved animals. Studied animal control, volunteered and worked for Humane  Societies, studied under a veterinarian, have been to the dog show rink and if there is an animal involved... I'm interested.

My intent for this website is to make a fun, enjoyable learning experience for anyone who loves or has an interest in animals. I've lived  the corporate world and in all actuality find that during this last phase of my life, I prefer to go back to nature and to create something that will benefit Etymology,(all animals including people),  to the best of my ability.  I do not proclaim to be an expert. I am a person who is trying to make a difference in the lives of people and animals in a positive manner.

I hope you find my website informative. I WELCOME all ideas, suggestions, comments, photos, recipies and anything that relates to animals or pets and their human companions.

Please write on the forum, enter my guestbook, send an ecard.... all in all, have fun, enjoy and visit us often.

Take care and GOD Bless.
